1993 Tim Teufel, Padres, Worth model WC117 game used bat
After achieving fame with the 1986 World Champion Mets, Tim Teuful spent his last 3 seasons (1991-1993) as a member of the San Diego Padres. In 1993, Teufel played in 96 games, hitting .250 for the Friars.
This beautiful model WC117 bat is a throwback to some of the unique, colorful bats of the 90’s. The style is popular due to the two-tone black and tan with orange trim. This bat shows some nice game use, with bat rack and ball marks throughout. Teufel’s #20 is handwritten on either end of the bat; in black on the knob end and silver on the barrel end.
The bat is autographed by Teufel in silver along with a religious inscription. The bat also has autographs of teammates Phil Plantier and Andy Benes, and can be dated specifically to 1993 as that is the only year that Teufel played with both of those players. Also, the 3 (inadvertantly stamped over the 2 in 1/2) is the Worth notation that the bat was made in 1993,
